Sounds like a party gone bad in Sonoma right?  No sir, this is what it winds down to this week.  Last week, Shutter Island(Leo DiCaprio) took the top spot from Valentine’s Day, placing Avatar in third.  With this week’s releases, things shouldn’t change much.

This week, Bruce Willis and Tracy Jordan Morgan star in the comedy Cop Out, also starring Seann William Scott.  I’ve seen the trailer and the only reason I’m giving this film the benefit of the doubt is because good ol’ Kevin Smith is directing.  Should be you’re typical cop comedy with a little K-Smith flare added for your enjoyment.  If you all don’t know who Kevin Smith is by now, please go do some research.

Next up, we have The Crazies, starring Timothy Olyphant(Live Free or Die Hard, Hitman).  The film is about the inhabitants of a small Iowa town suddenly plagued by insanity and then death after a mysterious toxin contaminates their water supply.  And wouldn’t you guess it, hilarity ensues.  Oh, wait… no hilarity?  Oh, well should be for a swell time anyway.  Good date movie if you wanna have your gf (of bf) jumping all over you.

And last but certainly not least, Blood Into Wine.  Just so happens that this is a documentary about the second life that Tool/A Perfect Circle/Puscifer Frontman Maynard James Keenan lives harvesting his grapes for wine.  How he has time to maintain such a time-consuming hobby along with his obligations to write music for his bands is beyond me.  Cameos include Mila Jovovich and Patton Oswalt.

My pick this week:  Blood into Wine.  I’m sure that even if you aren’t a big wine drinker, you’ll learn a thing or two, not only about wine, but about Maynard’s musical en devours as well watching this film, which isn’t a bad thing at all given his musical talent.  Cop Out was my number two and Crazies rounding out my list.  Just seems to me that The Crazies will be a “wait ’til DVD” flick more so than Cop Out.

Boyz II Men was a school dance staple back in elementary.  The dance was not complete if they didn’t play “End of the Road” or “On Bended Knee” at the end to let everyone know that the dance was coming to an end.  It seemed like they were at the top of their game but what ever happened to Boyz II Men?
