Time Flies… Sometimes

Do you remember when you were a kid, just waiting for school to end. Waiting for summer vacation, and how long it seemed to last. Do you remember the last time you felt you had that much time? It seems as though the older we get, the faster time goes. But as as a child you feel like time doesn’t go fast enough.

Could it be possible that some sort of chemical reaction occurs within the body, as it ages, that causes one’s perception of time to seem as if it is speeding up, making one feel that there isn’t enough hours in the day? But then again, regardless of age, when you go through a scary moment or traumatic experience, time seems to slow or even freeze, causing you to feel like you can’t get out of that moment fast enough.

After this voyage into the unknown depths of my mind, I decided to research information on this subject. Sure enough, scientists have already been hard at work trying to figure out this very thing.
