Black Friday (Nov. 27, 2009)

Posted: November 3, 2009 by Brian in Uncategorized

Good morning you carnivores. DST is finally over and, quite honestly, I adjusted well to it. I woke up at 3 a.m. and realized I still had an hour before I actually had to get up. And so October ends and another very exciting month begins. November, and all it holds for us, is well on it’s way.

November is not only home to the most filling day of the year, Thanksgiving, but to the day after, known as Black Friday. Black Friday is the day when all the major stores offer “doorbuster” deals. The term “Black Friday” is said to have originated in Philadelphia around in the 1960’s in reference to the heavy traffic on that day. Most recently, the media and merchants referred to this shopping phenomenon as Black Friday because it was the day retailers got out of the red and into the black, turning profit.

This year, being the birth year of Meat in Your Mouth, you can bet your ass we’re gonna be covering everything Black Friday. We will be updating frequently, up until Thanksgiving with the ads that are released. Bookmark MiYM or simply click on the links to the right to receive an email or daily updates via RSS when we’ve put a new post up.

Happy November all, have a nice rest of the week!
